Description Spatial Focus conducted an inventory of the existing address information, both in the GIS and on paper tax maps in the Planning Department. We reviewed the E-911 files, and conducted interviews with address creators and users throughout the Municipality of Anchorage, and with representatives of major utilities (telephone companies, water/sewer providers, etc.) in the area. A strategic plan for moving the master address records from the existing set of paper maps to the GIS was developed, along with strategies to link major address users to the Address Repository and GIS Maps. Additional assistance was provided in quality control and assurance for addresses, street centerlines, and ranges.
