Description of Work	Development of an automation plan and database design for the creation of a land title registry and conversion of the deed registry. During a site visit to Malawi, the Spatial Focus team visited the offices of the Land Registry, the Deeds Registry, the Surveyor General, and regional offices in Nkhotakhota, Blantyre and Lilongwe. A plan for improving the flow of documents using a variety of automation tools was provided. The use of software for checking of survey calculations, and for downloading data from field survey equipment (total stations and/or GPS units), along with research on biometric personnel authentication for security, and internet transmission of records to the national archives were included in the study.
