provided the City of Raleigh with an evaluation of their present addressing business
practices and data, along with performing a Level 1 LUCA evaluation of City addresses
for the 2010 Census.
Spatial Focus has been retained to prepare a Strategic Implementation Plan for the
implementation of a Master Address Repository. The Plan includes tasks designed to
improve workflows, make organizational changes to support best practices addressing,
and database and data tasks to develop an enterprise-wide address Repository.
Spatial Focus is also performing quality control for annual updates of the City's
orthophotography and planimetric and topographic data.

Cobb County, GA

Cobb County retained Spatial Focus to provide a Strategic Plan for
the development of a Master Address Repository that could serve all of the County's
departments, and maintain high-quality, up-to-date geographic and tabular address information.
Spatial Focus is now completing a Master Address Repository for Cobb County that
will provide address data and address points for all parcels and structures in the County.
Park County, CO

Spatial Focus
assisted Park County in creating a Master Address Repository. There are significant
road renaming and addressing issues in the County.
Registrar of Voters, Madison County, AL

Spatial Focus
was retained to create digital maps of all electoral geography, including municipal and
other tax district boundaries, and precincts. Based on this geography, the voter
registration lists were reviewed and quality controlled to insure that all voters are
voting appropriately.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Authority

Spatial Focus
assisted the airport with addressing all of the buildings and areas within the
airport boundaries. The first phase included all ground level facilities (including
runways, taxiways, aprons and ramps). A second phase will include all levels, including
above and below ground facilities.

Republic of Malawi

Spatial Focus
was retained to work with an existing plan for converting the Deeds Registry to a title
registration system, and for automating the registry and the cadastral mapping process. This
project, funded by DANIDA (Danish Government international development assistance program), had
a goal of significantly reducing the length of time and cost for citizens to register land
rights and titles.
Gaston County, NC

Spatial Focus is providing quality control services for
Gaston County's cadastral and planimetric mapping program, and is also
designing the GIS database for the County. The quality control program is
designed to deliver real-time information to the County and the mapping vendor
on the status of all map files through an on-line browser interface.

developed a GIS Implementation Plan for Hall County and the City of Gainesville.
Spatial Focus continued working with Hall County and the City of Gainesville to specify hardware
and software, develop specifications for orthophotography, planimetric, topographic and cadastral
mapping, designed a comprehensive geospatial database, and assisted in quality control
processes for the orthophotography, plan-topo and cadastral mapping programs.

Spatial Focus developed a Strategic Implementation Plan for Addressing
for the District of Columbia. Working with 15 major agencies of the DC Government, a Master
Street Name List was prepared, and data standards and models completed. The Plan addresses
organizational and institutional issues, maintenance of addresses, versioning and metadata,
and linkages between existing address databases and the Master Address Database. In a
phased approach, Washington is implementing a fully three-dimensional addressing system,
providing for rapid and cost effective deployment of emergency and non-emergency governmental
services. The first phase is currently operational.
GIS Program, Fairfax County, VA

Spatial Focus developed a Strategic Implementation Plan for Addressing
for the Fairfax County. Spatial Focus interviewed address users and creators, and
developed an addressing model and Strategic Plan for Fairfax County's addressing. The
plan provides for linkages between the County's agencies with the GIS maps, and will allow
GIS users access to address and other data on an enterprise-wide scale.
Cumberland County, NC

Electric Department
City of North Little Rock, AR

Spatial Focus worked with the North Little Rock Electric Department
to identify specific tasks required to integrate GIS into real-time monitoring and
operating applications for electric services to the City. Spatial Focus has also
assisted the City in conversion of existing CAD data to the regional GIS, and in
database development.
Department of Environmental Services
City of Delray Beach, FL
Client since 2001
Using an interactive website, Spatial Focus developed a Master Plan for
the development of GIS capabilities in the City of Delray Beach. Existing applications and
software are being unified to provide inter-agency sharing of geospatial data and linkages
to maps developed by the City for management of its infrastructure. Spatial Focus
conducted a geoaudit of the City's addresses.
Metropolitan YMCA of Birmingham, AL
Client since 1999
Spatial Focus
developed a system to track members and program customers of the YMCA by location throughout
the Birmingham Y's service area. Using free and off-the-shelf components, Spatial Focus developed
a system to structure existing membership and customer records from a proprietary system into a
spatial database. The system permits the Y to query its data to determine the geographic locations
of various categories of customers and members, including age, type of programs attended, YMCA
branch utilized, and to analyze this data against census data to determine market penetration statistics.
GIS Division
City of Birmingham, AL

Spatial Focus
assisted the City of Birmingham in extracting, cleaning, standardizing, and parsing data from
its obsolete building permit management system for loading into a new permit management system.
Approximately 200,000 records were processed. Additionally a data field mapping task identified
all components of information in the old system, and linked them to the appropriate field in
the new system, to facilitate loading of the data into the new system.
Savannah Area Geographic Information System, GA
Client since 1999
Spatial Focus
worked with the SAGIS consortium, which includes the City of Savannah, Chatham and Effingham
Counties, and Southern Company/ Savannah Electric Company in the development of a Master
Addressing Implementation Plan. The process included workshops and interviews with SAGIS staff
and identification of goals, objectives, and an overall budget for the implementation program.
